Santa Fe Municipal airport offers limited flights to many cities. The closest major airport with more frequent flights is in Albuquerque, about an hour south of Santa Fe. Rent a car and drive or take Rail Runner, an affordable commuter train service that operates between Albuquerque and Santa Fe (hours are limited!).

Getting around the historic core of Santa Fe is easy; it is fairly compact and pedestrian friendly. Free Santa Fe Pick Up shuttle buses circulate around the core and nearby attractions including Museum Hill and Canyon Road.

To reach the Santa Fe Opera compound; ride share the 7 miles from The Plaza; take the seasonal shuttle; or drive yourself with a picnic to enjoy pre-show tailgating!

To venture out to the Pueblos, mountains, and hiking trails at Bandelier or Santa Fe mountains, rent a car or go with a tour company like Jimmy did with local guide Scott Renbarger with Outspire.
