Shopping: Check out Broughton street for a wide array of shops, including major chains.  Streets throughout the historic center have local boutiques worth popping into.

Museums: Savannah boasts many enticing museums, from historic homes to contemporary art. Here are a few:

Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum:  Small but mighty, this house museum holds a wealth of nautical treasures to fascinate landlubbers and sailors of all ages. Kids will love this museum with its numerous detailed ship models, “hands on” wheelhouse (basement), and playing “I Spy” in the scrimshaw room would be a blast!

Telfair Arts Center, the oldest museum in Georgia, boasts a wide ranging collection of art from the past and present in three different facilities.

SCAD Museum of Art, part of the Savannah College of Art & Design, focuses on contemporary art.

Art Museum

Grand historic homes abound, and many are open for visits or for multi-home tours.
